Vegan Caesar Dressing: Quick and Easy Salad Dressing for the Alkaline Vegan.

This photo shows a person holding a Caesar salad comprised of romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, chickpeas, carrots, and cucumbers. With a small dish filled with caesar dressing on the side.

Welcome!

I stumbled across this vegan Caesar dressing on accident. I was trying to make an alkaline vegan ‘cheese’ sauce for my alkaline vegan burgers. Instead, I made a sauce that resembled Caesar dressing. Of course, I wanted to share it with the world. This recipe does include walnuts, so if you have an allergy this isn’t the recipe for you!

What is Caesar dressing?

Caesar dressing can be made in different ways. The most common ingredients are lemon juice, olive oil, egg, Worcestershire sauce, anchovies, garlic, Dijon mustard, Parmesan cheese, and black pepper. Very few of these ingredients are recommended in Dr. Sebi’s nutritional guide.

Caesar dressings are one of the most commonly served salads in restaurants. With this vegan Caesar dressing recipe in your arsenal, you can safely consume your salads while on the go. It’s giving- hot sauce in my bag swag.

Ingredients needed for your vegan Caesar dressing.

  • 1/2 cup soaked walnuts
  • 2 TBSP lime juice
  • 1/4 cup of water for desired consistency
  • 1 TSP turmeric
  • 1 TSP onion powder
  • 1 TSP ginger
  • 1 TSP black pepper

A pinch of salt

Directions

Begin this recipe by soaking your walnuts in purified water overnight. This is very important. If you do not allow your walnuts to become soft the texture will be very grainy.

  • Place soaked walnuts into a blender.
  • Pour half of the water into the blender to start.
  • Let blend on medium until smooth.
  • Add lime juice and seasonings and blend on high until smooth.
  • Add the remainder of the water if the consistency is too thick for your preference and on low. Continue adding water gradually if you’d like a thinner consistency.
    • Do not pour too much water in at once. Remember, it’s always better to try to loosen the consistency than thicken it!
  • Use a spatula to remove the dressing from the blender. Stores in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Enjoy!

Before you go,

The alkaline vegan diet can be considered as a partial fast. I’ve created a free eBook for you that goes into everything you need to know about fasting. In this eBook, you’ll learn the history of fasting, how to properly prepare for a fast, as well as how to properly break a fast. There are different types of fasting. All of which we explore in this eBook. The refeeding phase of a fast is so important. This is why I recommend people undergo a six-week alkaline vegan detox. Which essentially is a Daniel fast, only alkaline! Thanks for reading!
